Kieran G. Altieri
Mr. Altieri joined Boutin & Altieri as a summer law clerk in 2003. Mr. Altieri focuses his practice in the areas of general commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and appeals. He deals with all aspects of insurance coverage disputes, from initial claim handling to appeals, particularly with respect to commercial general liability policies and environmental coverage issues. Mr. Altieri has experience dealing with commercial contract disputes, from steel trade battles to board and nail cases. He has experience with all phases of litigation from the initial suit, through discovery and motion practice, including expert witnesses, the trial itself, and appeal.
He has also spent a significant portion of his career working on land use matters – particularly variance and special exception applications, governmental taking and eminent domain disputes. Mr. Altieri has worked on a number of cases involving lawyers’ professional responsibility matters at the state and federal trial courts as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Altieri has worked on both sides of many practice areas — working both for landowner applicants and municipalities, policyholders and insurers, and plaintiffs and defendants — giving him a unique “high altitude” perspective of cases. Mr. Altieri takes pride in honing in carefully on the details of a dispute while never losing sight of the big picture areas that will make a difference to his clients, the fact finder and the courts.
