The firm has represented title insurers, attorneys, and law firms in land use matters and title claims.
Our attorneys represent clients in all phases of commercial and residential real estate transactions for both buyers and sellers, from the negotiation process through closing, including preparing purchase and sale agreements, property disclosures, deeds, easement agreements and restrictive covenants, mortgages, loan payoffs, leases, drafting of zoning and corporate opinions, and settlement statements. We represent multiple lenders, handling both residential and commercial real estate closings.
Boutin Lowman has extensive experience and recognized expertise in the local land use and approval process. We are committed to working collaboratively with our clients and various departments, boards and authorities to identify and address potential approval requirements early in the process. Our attorneys regularly appear before a wide range of state and local permitting boards, including municipal planning and zoning boards, building departments, historic commissions, departments of environmental services, and departments of safety and revenue. We represent clients in matters including site plan and subdivision approvals, requests for variances and special exceptions, excavation, septic systems, solid waste, driveway and building permits, shoreland/wetlands approvals and tax abatements.
